The Ray-Pec varsity cheerleaders won the Missouri State Cheerleading Championship in the Co-Ed Small Division. The Missouri Cheerleading Coaches Association competition was Nov. 8 in Columbia. Cheerleaders competed against the 13 teams in the division and were rated on their performance of cheer, stunts, tumbling and dance. The competition routine included three minutes of non-stop tumbling, stunting, dancing, and leading the crowd.
Ray-Pec cheerleaders qualified for state by placing first at the Kansas City Regional Cheerleading Competition last summer. The 2015-2016 Varsity team is led by Head Coach Megan Speer and Assistant Coaches Rachel Turney and Courtney Morgan.
